Sideout Foundation Dig Pink Programs
The Iowa Region is a proud supporter of Dig Pink
In volleyball, “side-out” means regaining control of the ball. Similarly, The Side-Out Foundation helps people with breast cancer regain control of their lives.
Side-Out directly funds “game-changing” breast cancer research and support. We raise millions that fund our own cutting-edge clinical trials at renowned medical institutions. This unique approach is successfully extending the lives of people with stage 4 breast cancer. A portion of the money raised through Side-Out also goes to high-quality support services for cancer patients and their families. Learn more about our research.
Side-Out empowers young athletes. Through Dig Pink® and other programs, Side-Out coaches thousands of young people in skills such as teamwork, leadership and perseverance, and gives them opportunities to live meaningful and healthy lives. Side-Out also awards scholarships that encourage students to continue a life of setting and achieving their goals. Learn more about the Side-Out Ambassador Program.
Side-Out uses the power and teamwork of the volleyball community to beat cancer. Side-Out has started a powerful movement within the volleyball community. Each year, tens of thousands of volleyball players, coaches and families across the country join together to participate in Side-Out programs. Together, they support the development of treatments that are giving stage 4 breast cancer patients more quality time with their families and getting them closer to the day we find a cure.

Club teams across the nation are showing their support for cancer patients and research this season. The Dig Pink® Tour is part of a national movement that is activating the power and teamwork of the volleyball community to beat cancer. We invite you and your team to help by creating cards and raising funds for research, and wearing pink on day 2 of tournaments.
